This is a tough one! The IRS is in position 1 ahead of your bank. In other words…If there’s an IRS lien on your home, they get paid first when you sell before your mortgage gets paid off. My best advice is to sell quickly before the IRS attaches a judgement on your house. Then, after you sell your home…you can submit an offer and compromise to the IRS.
